This device has been installed. Stumbled on. Probably either too many wires in the circuit (250 ft+) or common neutrals between circuits. Previously, the circuit worked without any problems with a standard switch. Installed a Duplex 20A GFCI downstream from an outlet and then it worked fine. This is a circuit breaker with built in ground fault and arc protection. This version has a neutral pigtail for use with load centers without an insertable neutral bar. That being said, I've installed about 12 so far for a home renovation. This may be overkill unless your area is up to date, but the previous homeowner obviously did a lot of electrical work themselves but never had to touch a screwdriver.
