tastes awful best in Solder & Flux

I've tried it on everything from toast to cereal and couldn't find anything that would complement it. I gave it 2 stars because it seemed to whiten my teeth a bit, but I would only recommend one teaspoon at a time, the 2 tablespoon servings I used were difficult to swallow, especially when combined with the peanut butter.

Cons

What is the difference between a beginner and a pro

I'm a software developer which basically means I can't solder but sometimes I try. I was taking my first prototype board for a project and a colleague recommended using flux. That's magic. Solder flowed onto the leads and pads. No more nasty solder balls. The solder is waxy and I applied it sparingly with a toothpick or dipped the wires.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Negative result present

MUST HAVE for electro soldering on old cars!

This was just what I needed for soldering. I used this flux with Alpha Fry AT-31604 60-40 Rosin Core Solder and it worked great! I'm very happy with how he pulled the solder into the new battery wire ends I fitted for the old car. I wrapped some shrink wrap around the cable before soldering the ends, then closed the connection and shrunk the shrink wrap for a perfect fit. This permanently prevents corrosion.

Pros
  • Large fit for me
Cons
  • Compatible

Make Soldering Faster

10/16/21 Update: You can gel this with some isopropyl alcohol 91% or higher. I did not do it scientifically, but poured a small amount of alcohol into a small glass jar with a spoonful of paste. Then I boiled the container twice until the solder was liquid. Stir with a toothpick (or whatever you have) and let cool. On cooling it turned into a gel. Then simply place it in the container of your choice. I use syringes to apply it to small SMD components. I always thought that since the solder…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I won't say anything

After researching flux options online I was about to purchase a syringe type flux that is said to make surface mount rework easier. However, after carefully watching a significant number of YOU TUBE videos on soldering techniques, I came across one in which the technician used a good old tried and true rosin paste flux and simply applied it with a metal tool. After seeing a technician easily apply a controlled small amount of pasty flux with a pick and seeing the same quality of finished solder

  • handy item

First time with Flux, very nice!

Media could not be loaded. UPDATE 2/2021: I made this star smaller. I ended up throwing it away even though I only used 1/8th of it. It just wasn't as pliable as it was when I bought it in 2017. My advice is to put it in a ziplock bag when not in use, otherwise it will dry out and be more difficult to attach, especially to the wiring. Because the cover is simply pressed on or removed and stays in place by friction. my RC car or quadrocopter. I've heard of various fluxes you can buy that help…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Great and works perfectly as described!

Flux and tip can are great! I find that flux is much easier to apply when it's warm and melted. To do this, I dip and pull the hot soldering tip into the flux container very quickly (be careful, if the tip is in a hotter position the flux can splatter!), and this makes it chubby enough that I can easily pick it up and apply it . I use a small piece of dry sponge to soak up some of the melted flux and then apply it with a brush. For a diode lead, for example, I can just dip a wire in melted flux

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Rosin Paste Flux #135 in 2 oz can

Failed to load media. Rosin Paste Flux #135 in a 2-ounce can. To make this review worthy you need to tell the full story and why customer service matters. I first ordered Rosin Paste Flux #35 because I needed an inexpensive flux for everyday soldering and DIY jobs without breaking the bank. When I received and looked at it my first thought was "This is not what I expected" and judge it by the color because it was much darker than it looks in the promotional photos and reviews (I like bright…

  • Very impressive
