The best lifesaver for cycling

Lifesaver! Or should I say leg guards. This year I competed in a mega-endurance event called the Kaiser Climb, a 155-mile, 14,000-foot climb. I don't think I could have finished without Apex. I didn't want to mess with changing cranks to compact ones. I bought a derailleur and an 11-32 cassette. Installation was easy and the low gear ratio was amazing when the inclines got steep. I definitely recommend it.

Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Solid shifting with a wide range

I use this rear triangle with Force levers and a SRAM 11-32 10 speed cassette. SRAM is reliable and shifting is crisp. I switched from Shimano 105 to SRAM on my road bike to get 32T. compared to 28 for the 105. It really increased my comfort when riding in very hilly terrain. Note that rear wheel assembly is a bit more difficult than with short basket derailleurs, but once you get the hang of it it becomes easier.

Pros
  • Sport and outdoors
Cons
  • Not the best

Remove the old derailleur with a hex wrench. 3. Install the new rear derailleur using a hex wrench. 4. Install the new chain of the correct size. You can find manuals online. In my case, there was no need to remove links at all5. Adjust the cable tensioner on the rear derailleur so that the shifting action touches all the rings on the
