SRAM Hoods New Shifters Pair Review

I don't fit the NEW SRAM Force (2010) 10-speed perfectly. I'll use it anyway because I can't find an alternative. I will be very tight and you will need to adjust it and cut off some legs for alignment.

The old ones were torn at the thumb stop and torn at the bottom seam. I took care of them when they were installed (heated and oiled) and they still broke immediately. They came loose at a seam at the bottom of the hood. Pretty expensive for such cheap quality.

My previous hubcaps have lasted 10,000 miles or more. It wasn't until I had to do maintenance that required removing the hubcaps that I accidentally broke one of them. The new hoods are clearly "tight" on the hoods and don't feel "slippery". They are comfortable and arrived as described!

These hoods are perfect for a 2015 SRAM Force bike. I installed these yesterday along with the SRAM red stripe on my LBS and my Ridley Fenix bike looks great, fits perfectly. The black hoods these replaced are still in perfect condition after over 15,000 miles. The quality is top notch and this is a true OEM product.

I probably smashed my original hoods from carrying them around too much. So I handled them very carefully, slowly and carefully straightening them out and rubbing them down with lots of isopropyl alcohol as an assembly lube. They turned out to be lighter than expected and look just like the originals. I first ordered the wrong style for my 2017 Force 1 switches. These are correct.
