Z Star - 5 STARS on Golf Balls

Srixon Z Star is the highest quality touring golf ball available at a price lower than Titleist without compromising performance or durability. Feels good off the club, long with the driver, holds the green with a medium iron, instantly checks the gores and feels oily with the putter. This is the only ball I use now and I am very happy.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • No Performance

Good quality ball with good performance

There are better balls that are a little more durable and feel just like this one - like the Bridgestone rx330 (or now Tour b rx) and the Titleist Pro v1, but these balls almost have it the same performance at half the price. I play golf about 2-3 times a week with a variety of golf balls and overall find it a great value, especially for weekend warrior rounds.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Good Ball - Standard Balls

There are so many golf balls out there that it's best to compare the cheapest to the most popular. This ball covers both categories. It gives you distance like most balls do, which is nice. There's really no reason to shell out $48 a dozen unless you're a pro or playing with your friends. There are many balls that cost between $25 and $35 and this ball falls into that category. Worth a try for sure.

  • Enjoyable

Good balls - can really spin

I like the feel of them - they don't feel like rocks and spin well when hit with a wedge. There were no durability problems. Otherwise, why are you reading this? Most of you can't spin the ball anyway - I know - I've seen you play. Will this ball help? This will happen once you learn how to spin the ball, but it takes hours or hours of learning and relearning how to swing a golf club and if you were interested you would buy golf balls for $55 an ounce. instead, although I think these balls are…

Like hitting a hard pillow

Full disclosure, I haven't taken this ball on the field yet, my rating is based on putting and short game practice. Everyone who ever told you this ball was soft actually sold it. Imagine the softest ball you can, and then soften it a little. Imagine coming across one of those fancy little round butter dishes that hold their shape. When you clean it, it feels and sounds amazing. Slightly off-center hits feel good, but the softness dampens feedback. I like a little more reviews than this ball…

The advertised value of the ball is not what I expected

I decided to try these Srixon Z Star balls after several reviewers said they were like the much more expensive Pro V1 balls looked. After trying them out in practice and playing two full rounds of 18 holes I was very disappointed and can't believe they come anywhere near the quality and performance of the Pro V1 balls. I noticed that it's a very heavy ball that you don't seem to feel. I found them like dead weight when chipping or putting, and even noticed their apparent slowness on impact and…

Good ball. Compared to Supersoft and Tour Soft

I like it so far, a little harder than before, but this year I'll try other balls. Hdc 9.3 Currently running Callaway Supersoft Experimenting with Titleist Tour Soft and Srikson Z-Star. There is definitely a difference between all three, I'm more of a feeler, especially when it comes to putting. I didn't notice a significant difference in distance or feel from the driver, but the iron and putter have a different feel and sound. , there is still no significant difference in distance or effect…

Great ball, green grip, long range and soft feel

Bought these balls for my husband, here is his review: Tested these balls at 30-100 yards along with some other premium balls (titlest pro v1, Bridgestone b330s and even previous generation Srixon Z star and Z star VX). I have a 16 handicap and am working on my short game as I have access to a driving range with a good chipping area. My conclusion is this: the screen capture is excellent. I can break them in low to mid flight and they turn very well in the 30-100 yard range, very similar…
