Inaccurate Best in Measuring and Marking Tools

I had to return this because the spirit level was inaccurate. Neither the horizontal nor the vertical plane was accurate. Here is Stabila's statement on accuracy.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Almost never

Has no strong magnets has a magnetic stripe

I bought this angle finder stabilizer, it has a magnetic stripe unlike stabilizer magnets and got double the price of one.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

weak magnet. Really very weak

This is Stabila, right? Excellent level. Damn magnets! Have you heard of rare earth magnets? You have to check them out. Get rid of the 1980 brown magnet. That's a garage.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

Stabila Torpedo Thoughts

I originally bought this level 8 years ago and lost it 2 years ago. I replaced it with a round Stabila torpedo, but I didn't like it compared to this one. This model is a good choice for those who use a torpedo a lot and who value accuracy. If it is a tool that is not used frequently, a cheaper and cheaper brand will do. Until you drop it! Stabila makes an extremely reliable and "hard" level in my opinion, and the torpedo is no exception. I'm very happy it's back

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

My first Stabilla is still absolutely accurate.

I bought my first 4-inch Stabilla, the cheapest model, when I was an apprentice carpenter and could hardly afford it. Now I'm 67 and this level is not to be confused with the new one. I've used it for rough woodwork, concrete and tile work and still use it for high quality carpentry work. I don't know how many times I dropped it because I can't count that high. It's still pleasant to use: it's like an old trusty friend. Just bought this model, so we are still ecstatic, romantic stage.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
