It arrived earlier than expected. Installation was easy. although I would recommend a broom to support the hood during installation as the procedure outlined relies on both old struts being able to support the weight. One of my old frames was completely shot up.

Great product seems to be of good quality. It was a direct replacement and was easy to install. The impact force is exactly the same as the OEM on my 04 C230 Kompressor Sport, which raises the hood on its own just after reaching the center. This product even comes with saucers, but if yours are fine, you don't need to use them.

They work well. I give it full marks, although in this set both have a red button that allows you to raise the hood all the way, meaning you need two people to raise it to full height. The original button was only on one side. It would be nice if Stabilus made it so that you could "disable" the button on one side.

There is no point in installing exit locks on both jacks as the only way to deploy is if two people press on each side at the same time , the same for retraction when extended. Cannot be expanded or stowed away by just one person. So if you're alone, it's the same as regular ones that don't expand any further and cost less than half compared to those.
