Very sharp, and just the right thickness for zesting citrus

This is far better than my old zesting grater, which was blunt and cut too thick into the pith below. It cuts with minimal pressure and produces perfect, evenly-cut zest from oranges, lemons and limes. None of the bitter pith. I've not tried it for cheese grating - that's not what I bought it for.It cleans as well as any I've tried - they all need some care to get all the bits off without damaging the tiny blades (or yourself/your cleaning items) - but if careful, it is possible.

Pros
  • Finally.. what I have been looking for. Easy to use and to clean.
Cons
  • The blade may dull quickly

Great zester in fun colors

This zester is well made and durable. It is quite long, which allows you to place over a container and zest using the container as a counterpoint while zesting. It also comes with a brush that helps clean it up easily. This zester is sharp, and works for many items: cheeses, garlic, orange/lemon/lime zest, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.I also love the fun colors they come in, and the handle is very economically friendly.

Pros
  • Reduces the amount of time and effort required to zest or grate ingredients
Cons
  • The protective cover may not fit properly after multiple uses

Sharp, works great.

I had never used a zester before so I had nothing to compare it to really. But after reading lots of reviews I purchased this one mainly because so many of them commented on how sharp it is. I can attest to that! It made short work of zesting some lemons, and cleaned up easily. I've only used it once so I can't attest to the long-term wear, but I had no problems with anything coming apart or anything.

Pros
  • Very pleased with this purchase; works great. Use it a lot for garlic, ginger, zesting, and Parmesan.
Cons
  • The grater may be difficult to hold

Ooooweeeee ❤️‍🔥 in my review

Love everything about it! It's lightweight, SHARP, ez to use & hold &&& quite an attractive design, not bulky either😁 Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Long-lasting and won't dull quickly
Cons
  • The grater may require too much pressure to grate effectively

Works better than expected

This is my first zester bought mainly for zesting lemons. I am loving this tool. Virtually no pressure is needed to zest and the enclosed brush easily knocks the zest off the underside of the zester. So glad I made this purchase. It exceeds my expectations.

Pros
  • Perfect for grating and zesting cheese, citrus fruits, ginger, garlic, nutmeg, and more
Cons
  • The grater may be too fine for certain tasks

WOW! Really works great!

I used it while making a lemon Meringue pie. I usually have a very hard time trying to grate the lemons to get enough zest–but with this grater the task was easy. The anti-slip "foot” works well too. I also like that it has a cover for storage that prevents accidents. It is very sharp!

Pros
  • Wide blade makes it easy to handle larger items
Cons
  • The grater may be too coarse for some users' preference

A Must have best in my review

I've used and washed this several times (through a dishwasher) and it's been amazing every time! Whether you're a chef or a wannabee like me, you need this zester! Great price and a must have in the kitchen.

Pros
  • Comes in a beautiful, stylish purple color
Cons
  • The grater may have difficulty grating softer cheeses like feta or brie

Works in record time

Used this for the first time today to zest lemon for an olive oil cake. Needed 1 and 1/2 TBS. With my old (now discarded) box grater, I dreaded this chore. It used to laborious and time consuming but no more with this handy gadget. Very quick job. Also, no scraped knuckles.Very glad I tried this. Now I can also go back to making carrot cakes.LoL.

Pros
  • Graters
Cons
  • The grater may bend easily

Lovely to hold, behold, and works fantastically well

This is my first microplane, and now that I have this beauty I feel kinda naïve for having all of these box graters and mini stand-up graters and zesters for cheese, zest, and nutmeg--this thing is what you really want. Does the job quickly, cleans up quickly, and is just an enjoyable object in itself. I got the bright blue color, and it makes me a little happier every time I pull it out of the drawer. The grip feels nice, and the whole thing is solidly constructed.

Pros
  • Easy to find in a crowded utensil drawer
Cons
  • The grater may leave behind a lot of debris that makes cleaning difficult

Efficient and functional!

After binging on GBBS, my partner and I decided to invest in a zester, our 4-sided grater wasn't cutting it (heh). I'm sure there are other perfectly good zesters out there, but this one is top notch, I would recommend to others - it comes with a shield and a brush, and is easiest to clean right after using.

Pros
  • The sister is very stable and makes zesting citrus super easy. I use it all the time.
Cons
  • The grater may make a lot of noise while in use

Very substantial and sturdy.

Love that it has a cover for the blade. It is really long so won't fit nicely in my drawer. I'll keep it at the ready in my crock pot on my counter which holds all my other go to utensils. I haven't used it yet, but I certainly will in the next couple of days getting ready for Thanksgiving.

Pros
  • Perfect for grating parmesan cheese for an authentic Italian flair
Cons
  • The grater may clog if used on wet produce

Larger than photo and quite dull

Yes the tool appears massive in comparison to the marketing photos. The blade is dull where you may need to run the same area multiple times before the white is reached. Still useable. I have zested oranges, lemons, and limes successfully.

Pros
  • Compact size means it can be stored easily in a drawer or cupboard
Cons
  • The grater may not be safe for children to use
