Great for quickly dumping water on the caravan

They worked great, I wanted an easy way to dump our water lines onto the caravan when it was time to go. A little tape with pipe threads and they were in place. The valve rotates with sufficient resistance to feel that there is a good seal internally. I like that they are metal so I don't have to worry about them getting brittle in the sun.

questionable quality

I ordered 2 valves for the RV low point drains so I just wanted them to open and close without leaking. They were relatively cheap so I wasn't expecting much. Not sure what they are made of, but one of the two received today has rust/corrosion (enlarge image). If I were to use it for drinking water I wouldn't use it, but the corrosion is on the outside of the drain valve in my application so I'll try. My expectations are not high. I had a dishwasher that started leaking and I didn't realize it until the water started seeping between the seams of my laminate floor. When replacing the dishwasher I thought it would be a good idea to shut off the water line to the dishwasher. I ordered these mini ball valves and after draining the lines installed one of the valves. When I turned on the water, I found that the valve ball was leaking.
