I don't know what mild steel was used in this cookware, but aluminum cookware is more durable. I've tried using a can opener but it just doesn't work, it was so hard to move unlike my last one that I foolishly threw it away after getting this set. When I opened the fourth can, the metal parts just slipped out of the plastic sleeve, as if they weren't actually there but only weakly glued. I put it back in, but the metal was so soft it only took a few tries to open the tin again before it clicked

The package arrived fairly quickly and upon inspecting the items I noticed that I had received two slotted lathes instead of one slotted and one solid. NUMBER ONE: Do not use stainless steel for non-stick pans as it will scratch the non-stick coating! They work very well. Used them with cast iron. There are a few items I haven't used and probably never will (a wine corkscrew.
