Mixed Feelings - Splintered some nails

I have 4 cats. They are all super-chill with nail trimming. Pros: comfortable to hold, easy to trim even with thicker nails, angle to metal section makes it easier to snipCon: it splintered several of my cats nails - 4 times, so 25% of the time. My previous trimmers never had this issue. I am not sure if this is "operator error" or design. Will wait 2 wks to next trim and see if it repeats. Splitting nails is a deal-breaker here.

Pros
  • Easy to use and hold. I love it and my cat hates it. Over all it works out.
Cons
  • Not suitable for pets with thick or tough nails

Very satisfied! in my review

Just used these for the first time on one of our new adopted kittens, and it worked beautifully. Clean cut without splitting the claw, and good grip -- though a little on the small side for folks with larger hands.

Pros
  • Works as it should.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to use on pets with long or overgrown nails

This is much better than adult toenail clippers.

I bought this Cat Nail Scissor and I really like it. I used to use my toenail clippers and they would sometimes split the nail. These Scissors are so much easier to use and they do Not split the cat's nails. I feel like a Pro when I use them.

Pros
  • Cuts nails easy and fast. My cats are more calm and less stressed than before
Cons
  • Could cause the pet to become anxious or stressed during grooming

Works okay - my new review

It works decent, but you do have to squeeze pretty hard. It feels flimsy once you actually use them, but they get the job done

Pros
  • We use these to clip the nails on our mini lop rabbit. She never even flinches. Nice set of clippers.
Cons
  • May be difficult to clean or sanitize properly

10/10 Kitten clippers

Sharp. Easy clipping, blades glide well on one another. Indented section makes clipping easier. Grip on the handles is okay - I understand they are kitten clippers, but why are the holes so small for my fingers? I guess they are great for both lefty's and righty's, but I'd like it better if the holes were proportioned more like regular scissors. I personally don't have a problem with the hole size - I have small fingers - but my partner does have a bit more trouble using these comfortably.

Pros
  • Easy to clip the thickest cat claws. Wish I’d bought them years ago.
Cons
  • Not suitable for pets that are afraid of loud noises or sudden movements

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR CATS WITH THICK NAILS!

My other cats have smaller and thinner nail, and I've always used a human nail clipper as they love their nails clipped and purr. :-) If you read my review of the "cat muzzle", you will see I'm dealing with an older cat with HUGE and THICK nails that at one time grew into her pads and required vet care. Of course I used the new cat muzzle I recommended and the clippers work wonderful on her VERY THICK NAILS! She is an older, mean and grouchy cat who feels she owns me as well as the house! lol I

Pros
  • Have always used small nail clippers for cats. These are much easier to use with squirmy cat feet.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to see the nail clearly while trimming

Very happy with my purchase.

Purchased for my daughter to trim her kitten's nails. She loves them & says the clipper/scissors makes it less stressful & painless for her furry baby to get her nails groomed. She loves them, so I'm happy with my purchase. Thanks.

Pros
  • Don't cramp fingers
Cons
  • May be difficult to use on larger pets

Easy to use: my feedback

I can clip my cats nails in less than 2 minutes. Easy to use with no issues so far and it even worked with my two large dogs. That's my review.

Pros
  • Super sharp and easy to use! I use these on my kitten, but plan to use them as he grows into a cat.
Cons
  • Could damage or break if dropped or mishandled
