Tea Leaves Go Through

Pretty to look at but not very practical. The tea leaves seep right through the tiny holes. It may be better for flowering teas that are slightly larger than my pyrethrum tea leaves.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

My tea still has a lot of tea leaves

While they seem to work well with some loose teas, I get enough leaves in tea for about half my loose teas and I wonder why I even bothered have to use them. Honestly look for something with smaller holes.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Updates available

Well built, harder to clean than other designs.

Impressed at first sight, good quality for the money I don't like the design Too heavy to throw away the tea leaves. The plunger rod interferes and the two halves hold the sheets even after flushing. I'll go with the cheap clamshell mesh kind. They fall apart after a year or two, but don't bother me every morning.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Purity

Great for glitter ombre

Now most people use it to make tea and I'm sure they can. However, I use them to create a sparkling ombre on my stainless steel glasses. This tea infuser is perfect for that and the glitter won't clog holes either. A quick rinse under the tap and a shake and it's ready for my next paints.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Some bugs

Difficult to clean, metal rubs

Loose tea is difficult to clean as the leaves get stuck due to its design. Metal filters rub against each other when opened, perhaps microscopic metal flakes in teak. I hope not. I would go over this type of spring action for fully opening brewers. I only used it a couple of times before I bought another type of brewer. Not broken, difficult to get the tea leaves out and prefer something that doesn't rub together like a grinding effect when opening and closing.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Approximately

Smart design but difficult to clean - dirty

I liked their idea, the way they are designed. However, I have found that they tend to get dirty or empty when in use. Wet tea leaves get stuck behind the mechanism when it's open, and a gentle tap to loosen them causes the leaves to splatter all over the place. I'm reverting to my somewhat similar looking version with nice handles, which isn't perfect either, but it's easy to knock out the used tea as it doesn't have a part or latch to get caught behind when opening. I love strong green tea…

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Annoying

Not recommended for most loose leaf teas

I really liked the design concept, but the practicality of using this tea infuser just doesn't exist. It is not easy to clean, and you can only put tea in it in a limited way. I've made several mugs with different sized tea leaves, and unless you use large hand-rolled tea leaves, your tea will always contain tea leaves. You cannot just toss the tea leaves in the bin as they will get stuck on the other side of the strainer. I had to run it under the tap, fill the sink with tea leaves, and then…

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
