I ordered this as a birthday present for my girlfriend. She loves to cook. I found them after finally figuring out they were called spider filters, I had no idea. These are very good dyes. They are very well finished, the welds that hold the basket together are minimal and well sanded. She loves 3 sizes and has already used them. I give them 2 thumbs up! I did an informal five potato weight test. I chose potatoes for their density, which means firmness. In each image I keep the number of potatoes in the previous image. Because you can't see the whole potato vertically. I overloaded each spider to get a "real" strength test. I don't have a scale to measure the weight of potatoes. Well I just got them today and the 3 stars for 'easy maintenance' are given because they are typical of all buckets of this type - they can be tricky but they are not shaded , so so and should be easier. I think it will depend on what you use them for. They seem strong enough not to bend etc and should be fine for picking up fried food. However, higher ratings for durability etc. were to come later.
