Stainless Thermocouple Thermometer Temperature Measurement Review

Set up was a little fancy but once set up it is very easy to use. The recorder feature and easy download is great. The 4 ports are very useful, but the 2 sensors it comes with pretty well covers my use cases. I wish there was a DC adapter included, but the batteries are fine, the recorder can take continuous readings at 5 minute intervals for at least 3 weeks. The sensor can measure very high temperatures, but the device itself will generate a high temperature alarm if exposed to an environment

Although the instructions for this thermometer were probably written by a five year old, after about 45 minutes of playing around, I was able to figure out through trial and error how to set this thing up. After doing that, I was able to test several thermoelectric generators with great accuracy. I did not use the bead sensors included in the kit but bought 4 sensors in a metal case. The registrar received it and had to use it the next day. It looks and feels like a quality recorder. I checked the accuracy of the input at room temperature and everything looked fine. (I haven't tested accuracy at other temperatures.) I had trouble tuning because of the instructions. Apparently the instructions were a translation from another language into English. Did everything I needed. Was an ideal alternative to much more expensive versions. I compared it to a floating thermometer at the same time and the accuracy was +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit on the same heat source, but it could have been the thermocouples themselves as they were different brands. The manual isn't great like a lot of things from China these days, the setup menu isn't very intuitive and the manual isn't very helpful, but once you get the hang of it it's ok.
