Review on Stainless Thermocouple Thermometer Temperature Measurement by Mark Lowery

Did everything I needed. Was an ideal alternative to much more expensive versions. I compared it to a floating thermometer at the same time and the accuracy was +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit on the same heat source, but it could have been the thermocouples themselves as they were different brands. The manual isn't great like a lot of things from China these days, the setup menu isn't very intuitive and the manual isn't very helpful, but once you get the hang of it it's ok. However, it loses settings if the battery is removed for even a moment. The battery connector springs are a bit flimsy, I had it stop working a couple of times due to low batteries (and then I had to reset everything in the menu), I just stretched the springs a bit and now everything seems fine. Note. Although the connector slots are different sizes, it's pretty easy to get connectors the wrong way around, so you just have to be careful. The data text file is easy to transfer to Excel, copy all the data from the text file, paste it into a cell, then immediately go to the Data tab and select Text in Columns, then continue and the data can be processed and graphed.
