A great addition to the cockpit of our sailing boat. Nice to complement our main radio and get more power at the helm compared to hand held radios.

I love the remote control. I wish the screen was bigger but the price is right, comes with the entire installation kit and puts AIS radio advertising in the cockpit!

I upgraded my VHF to an AIS receiver unit, when I did this my old RAM 3 did not work with the new radio. Damn. The new 3+ doesn't have the intercom capabilities that its predecessor had. I really miss him!

Super offer, everything works great. Installed on the dashboard on the ground floor of a 36ft sailboat and the GPS works great! This is the main reason I bought this VHF to not install a GPS antenna.

My "ship" VHF is in the navigation station on my sailboat and I always have a waterproof portable radio on deck in case I need to talk to someone quickly. We ended up never using the ship's radio because it was inconvenient to go under. Handhelds are good but you have to remember to charge them, they fall in different directions and you don't see them in bad weather - a good backup option but not for everyday use.
