Excellent Marine Radio with Top-notch Connectivity

This electronics device has been a perfect fit for my boat .The connectivity options integrated via NMEA2000 protocol makes the device a real powerhouse. The sound clarity and reception IS top notch, and its functionality is a dream for any seasoned boater. The only downside is that its user interface is a bit complicated for first time users..

Excellent except for problems with NMEA 2000

Very compact and functional radio with DSL. Easy installation but unfortunately it doesn't recognize any of the GPS modules on the nmea network. Both see it, so the network works. A call to tech support didn't help, searching the web turned up several discussion group threads suggesting this is an unresolved issue. I connected nmea 0183 and now it is receiving GPS data (from a device). I'll live with that, but am disappointed with the failure of nmea's plug and play functionality. The only…
