🔌 Enhanced Power Window Switch - Standard Motor Products DWS-226 Review

The controls were easy to hook up and worked on my 04' Silverado. All switches are up and working properly. Coincidentally I thought I had burned out motors in the power mirrors and in fact it was fixed with the switch too.

New switch arrived on time and in good condition in manufacturer's packaging. Well made product. The new switch took about 2 minutes to install and it fit perfectly. Restored control of windows, mirrors and door locks.

One of my window switches broke on my Silverado and the only way to fix it is to buy the entire switch assembly. Saved $50 by purchasing standard engine products instead of our OEM. Sometimes you can save money by not buying an OEM.

Delivered about a week or two longer than the stated time, at which point I found a video on YouTube on how to disassemble the original. They used a cotton swab in alcohol to clean it, but I had better luck, I used an eraser to clean the original's pins. Revane took it back with no regrets and saved me over a hundred dollars. I noticed that the replacement buttons were cheaper than the originals.

This review was written on the same day I installed it. Time will tell, but so far so good. Installation is easy, but you can also purchase a mount/hardware. After so many years I discovered that the inner door cavity hardware holding this switch on my 2003 Silverado 1500 was broken. If you don't bother, a little silicone glue will do the job.
