You'll have to remove a few pieces of plastic, but not as many as you might think. The resistor is very easy to access once the plastic panels are removed. The whole job took about 20 minutes. Save a few hundred dollars compared to going to the dealer.

I have no complaints about the part itself. It appears to be of the same quality and construction as the factory original. But it doesn't fit my 2004 Tahoe. The difference lies in the two mounting ears. I need a part with ears flush with the sealed mounting surface. This part has mounting tabs that are offset and angled to the mounting surface.
