This SC201 speed sensor has been fitted to a 1999 Nissan Quest since September 2018. It works as expected. My cruise control and odometer are back to normal. Note: Randomly reading speed while driving means it's time to invest.

I have replaced this part on two separate Mercury residents. The first van had a good old speedometer dial on the dashboard that suddenly reset to zero. If you stopped the car and put it in park and then back on the engine, it would sometimes come back. Also, the cruise control would turn off and not turn on until you parked the car and then turned it back on.
