The plastic material is slightly deformed by the packaging. After being mounted on the board and placed in the sun to warm up, the device straightened up. If accuracy is important, this product may not be for you.

The saw is worthy. The case itself is a little wobbly than I'd like. But it works. Pegs that hold wood are a nice addition. What I don't like is the fact that the saw has a mandrel that prevents the saw from going deep enough to cut straight through the wood.

This is on Revain. They came in an oversized box with no packaging material other than a small piece of brown paper so the saws bounced around and the saw packaging fell apart on one and the locking pins and blade pin were gone. The saws are fine, but the pins are essential.

I have absolutely no idea how to rate this as it wasn't wide enough for the project that i make ( RPS material is 5" 5/8 socket) I want them to make things quite wide or adjustable as some materials like slats are quite wide. The width measurement of this box from outside to outside does not correspond to the space, you use for the material to be cut.

I used it to cut small UHMW pieces that needed to be cut with high precision. I used C clamps to hold the work in place. The cam pins that come with the kit don't help much and won't stay upright. It was difficult to clamp very tightly before the plastic miter box flexed, and so my cuts weren't quite square or vertical. Disappointing. This device is good for crafts around the home in a pinch, but don't expect professional quality.

So many tool makers have reduced the quality of their production by shifting their production to, well, forced labor for less, well, as they say, free space. Well, Stanley doesn't. All of their items are better designed and built than anything I have ever seen. Over the last few years I have gradually replaced many of my instruments with Stanleys and this miter set is part of that. I used it to precisely cut hard plastic wire guards for a small project. I also used one of their hacksaws as well
