Real metal tape measure

This is a real bargain. My husband is a carpenter and he wanted to replace exactly this measuring tape. There is also a lock button.

Pros
  • Excellent all round performance
Cons
  • Available in white only

I always use duct tape

Now I keep three of these around the house and in tool boxes. Right length (16ft), weight, good action, well done. The only downside is the packaging - to protect against theft from a hardware store. Have fun removing without cutting yourself!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Modern

Good product - Linear measurement

I had a 12" from Stanley that I really liked but managed to kill it by lengthening it. I like 16" as it's a good size has and I'm less likely to extend it.Stanley is a good brand and products. It's heavier than the plastic versions but probably more durable.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Having problems

In my opinion, Stanley makes the best gauges.

I've been a professional builder most of my life and I consider Stanley tools to be some of the best on the market. They are durable, accurate and very well made. Stanley has been making quality tools for over a century and continues to do so. You can't go wrong!

Best Tape for Furniture Making

I make cabinets to order and this is the best tape I've found for this purpose. I bought this to replace one I've been using in my shop for at least 10 years. It's light, precise and easy to read. There are times when I need to clearly see the gradation of the first inch of the tape measure and this tape measure is perfect for that. No more than 16 feet of tape is required when making cabinets.

Pros
  • Linear Measure
Cons
  • Doubt

Still the best roulette on the market!

I had an old Stanley tape measure that I bought in the late 1970's and it still worked better than some other brands I have received as gifts over the years. I've always been attracted to Stanley first. I'm old school, like that tape. No metric crap, just US inches and feet! Someone smashed up my old Stanley recently. And although I tried to operate on him, there was no hope. He was devastated. I bought this new one and was surprised that it was exactly the same as my old one. I have used it…

Pros
  • Tape Measures
Cons
  • I am writing back

Smooth recoil, normal lock but NO METRIC SIZES

I wanted a new tape measure as the one I have is pretty flimsy. I ran a review of roulette and Stanley excelled in many categories so I bought it. However, if I had looked more closely or known that it was only imperial measurements (inches) I would not have bought it. I live in a world that requires both types of measurements, the fact that it's not a hybrid is disappointing. . As a result, 2 starts are lost. If you don't need a metric, this tape measure is for you. It's solid, has a smooth…
