Love it! As a single woman

I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of the product. Love it! As a single woman, this helps me with my projects around the house. It's small and handy, but very durable!

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

This little spirit level is ideal for spot checking your work

This little spirit level is great for spot checking your work. While it's not miniature pocket-sized, its metal construction means I don't have to worry about it bending or changing height when it's in my pocket. It also has magnets on the bottom to hold the fridge to level it, or the tubes to set the pitch properly.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Accuracy is good, but the cast type plate protrudes from the caliber.

Accuracy is good, but the shaped plate protrudes out of plane, making the transfer of the line to the adjacent surface shaky and inaccurate. The bottom of the level is half the width of the center of the level and rides on two small (about 1/4 inch) ridges separated by a V-groove that holds the magnets. The center width prevents you from laying the spirit level less than approximately 3/4 inch wide. The magnetism is sufficient. Idiot design. Get Stable.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Good spirit level, best measuring and marking tools

I like this spirit level, it's easy to read. My only problem was that the magnets weren't glued to the plane. They appeared on first use. I sent a message to Stanley who wanted me to send it back to them for a replacement. Since it would cost like new I didn't bother. Instead, I put a drop of superglue in each hole, and the magnets haven't come out since.

Pros
  • Rare earth magnets for maximum holding power
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Accuracy is good, however the cast nameplate protrudes out of plane making line transfer to the adjacent surface wobbly and inaccurate. The base of the level is half the width of the center of the level and rides on two small (about 1/4 inch) ridges separated by a V-groove that holds the magnets. The center width prevents you from laying the spirit level less than approximately 3/4 inch wide. The magnetism is sufficient. Idiot design. Get Stable.

Pros
  • Pipe groove for use on rounded surfaces
Cons
  • No performance
