Cheap black doorstop

good price. Items were shipped quickly and arrived well packaged. The packaging says "Butter Bronze" but the doorstop is black. If they were the right color I would give 5 stars. Aside from the color, these doorstops were just as nice as the others I've paid significantly more for. I've added photos to help potential buyers.

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • some small things

Weak magnet won't hold doors open

This is junk. Don't waste money. We installed several others from a local big shop and they work great. The two I bought and installed here don't hold the doors open at all. The magnets are weak. If you need them to keep doors with items open, don't buy them (we have towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door and they push the door just enough to keep them out). If you're just looking for something to gently hold the door, then this might work.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Strong magnets, look good, work great

It amazes me that some reviewers think the magnet in this holder is weak! Try before installing. You will have a hard time separating the two magnets! I can only imagine that they somehow installed them incorrectly, maybe not aligned or maybe even with a door magnet touching the side of the wall unit. My 100 year old house has carpeted hardwood floors, so just laying them is not a problem. I don't have to worry about the drywall, I just place it on the floor or baseboard and then open the door…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • For old
