Seriously, stop banging your thumbs and get a punch holder. I have had this proto tool for about 6 months now and it has held up very well with almost daily use. I was concerned that the plastic grip around the steel shaft would fail, but I didn't notice any loosening or fatigue. My thumbs up gives this tool a 5 star rating.

I was hesitant to purchase this tool but took a chance and am glad I did. The photo does not match the product. This is the best quality and a little more than I expected. The handle is large enough even for very large hands. The collar that holds the chisel is very strong, and the threaded portion is thick enough to reduce or perhaps even eliminate the risk of thread stripping. Very good tool and saves a lot of broken joints.

. . . This thing is full size! The handle alone is nearly 5 inches long and will easily hold a 3/4+ size chisel or punch! The part at the end of the shaft also holds the smaller dimensions. I got this with a set of Stanley 418299 rock drill bits and they all fit perfectly. So forgive broken fingers or tools flying off because you didn't hit it right. It allows you to give things a good kick and get things right the first time. I'm happy!
