Stant 10233 Automotive Accessories Review

Bought this plug for an Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 V6 radiator. Works great to keep coolant where it needs to be. The cover I replaced was too high and the car's hood was pressed against the old one I accidentally bought. This is a low cap and works great. I don't have to worry about that since the hood of the car doesn't "press" on it.

Be careful. On the 2nd generation Nissan Xterra this cover is mounted on the overflow tank. The one that goes to the cooler has a much higher PSI rating. However. I actually used this on a radiator for about a year and kept changing the fluid. I think the steam came out. When I put the right one on my old radiator it started leaking due to over pressure! So that's it - lol. Replaced the cooler, screwed on the cap and everything was fine.

Fits '08 Nissan Xterra reservoirs. I had an issue where a small amount of coolant was evaporating and I found that it was because my factory header tank cap had lost some of its spring over the years. The cap is factory set at 14psi if the cap does not hold pressure as intended until the boiling point of the coolant drops and you lose some to evaporation.
