🔧 Stant Engine Coolant Thermostat and Water Outlet Assembly Review

I purchased this part for a buyer on a budget as it was a lot cheaper than all the alternatives. The thermostat itself came packaged in a small white box with a yellow and blue Stant label, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was an OEM Audi part from Behr, with the Audi logo and the part numbers were cast. You really can't get better than OEM if you don't pay aftermarket prices for OEM parts! Highly recommended.

This Audi part costs 157.00 and is very comparable to local car dealerships. ATTENTION TO THE BUYER. This $57 coin gave me a lot of trouble. After installing on a 2003 Audi a4 1.8t, this thing leaked in two of the three bolts due to the bolts holding the cases together. After pulling again (2 hour process) all the bolts and gaskets put back together, the system bled again, I get freezing HEAT and as soon as the car starts it wants to overheat. the bottom branch pipe to TSTAT is cold in the ice…

I bought this in March 2016 to replace a leaking thermostat. It's August 2017 and I've finally narrowed the overheating issue down to this brand new part. Replaced today and the car no longer runs. When diagnosing the problem I didn't even consider the possibility of a thermostat since it was new. I am so incredibly disappointed in this experience. I wouldn't even recommend this part to those I don't like. I think it cost me almost as much to buy a part with a lifetime warranty from Autozone…
