I love that this peeler does a good job of peeling apples for pies. The problem I found was rust on the blades from the acid in the apples. I can't clean it, acid gets between the metal blade and the plastic case.

This peeler works great! You can't ask for more for a cheap item. Plus it's very safe for an accident prone person like me! Want to buy a long time ago. Saves a lot of time rehydrating my apples (dried apples) and/or baking apple pies. Great time saver. Highly recommended.

Been like this for 3 years. Used many times. I wanted to change the blade and my rude husband broke the plastic nozzle - no big deal, it was all our fault. I ordered a new one and was happy to see that the blades we have from the old one still fit and they added a spring feature to easily release the core from the tip holding the apple. I love this apple bowl.

This Starfrit apple peeler is one of the best and most imaginative kitchen gadgets I have ever seen! It's extremely easy to use, works fast and picks up very little apple core with skin. Two days later I baked an apple pie and made applesauce as it is written. It's an incredible time saver and kids will love the bowls as a healthy snack. The 5 apples shown each took about 30 seconds from start to finish.

Something has changed. I bought 4 and had to send the last one back. Possibly related to the "ejector" but the only parts of the apple peeled off and the handle kept bouncing off. The reason I buy the whole machine instead of just buying new blades when the old ones dull is because the machine costs less than new blades. I never understood that. I sent this one back hoping the replacement would work.

A friend was showing off how great her Starfrit peeler works and since I couldn't get my own apple peeler to work I ordered the same one as hers. And after using it just once, I'm convinced! It's fast, easy to assemble, use and clean. The suction cups hold it securely. In no time my apples were peeled and ready to cut into my dessert. I highly recommend this handy little apple peeler. You won't regret buying this simple and handy little apple peeler.

The product will work as shown AFTER you put the blade on correctly! My knife came with a blade already installed and an additional blade in the box. The problem was that the blade was installed the wrong way around, so at first I thought it wasn't working properly. So for any people thinking of returning it because it doesn't work, try rotating the blade and it works great. One star deducted for this cheek! Otherwise it works the same as shown in the product video.

This little device is AMAZING and very well priced. He peeled a fairly large apple in about 5 seconds. It is very easy and simple to use. This makes it much easier to work with large quantities of apples for canning, making applesauce or pies etc when apples can be peeled so quickly and easily. The only downside I've noticed so far is that the handle used to rotate the knife comes off very easily during use. I put a small piece of paper towel in between to secure the handle and it worked…
