Description of ๐Ÿ”ช High-Performance TCT Sheetmetal Cutter by Starrett - SM35 HO

Ideal for cutting stainless and high alloy steels, non-ferrous light metals and reinforced fabrics at a much faster speed than bi-metal hole saws. Tough tungsten carbide tipped teeth have a positive cutting angle which provide fast and efficient removal of chips and swarf. Ideal for production cutting and particularly suitable for use in drills with limited speed control. Tungsten carbide tipped teeth provide superb product life and cutting performance. Safety stop at the base of the hole saw prevents drilling beyond the maximum cutting depth.

Great Hole Saw for Industrial Use

I recently needed to make some precise cuts in sheet metal for a project, so I decided to try out a hole saw from the Cutting Tools category. After doing some research, I landed on this product and was not disappointed. As my tests showed, the saw was incredibly durable and able to cut through the metal with ease. The TCT blade is impressive, and I couldn't ask for anything better in terms of performance. However, the only downside is the price, as it may be a little steep for some budgetsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) blade ensures long-lasting performance with high precision cutting.
Cons
  • Not suitable for cutting materials thicker than 3mm.

Ideal tool for cutting holes in stainless steel sinks

This tool is ideal for cutting two additional holes in stainless steel sinks for soap dispensers and waste chute air switches. I used some plumbing putty to make a dam around the area and then added some oil to lubricate it.

Pros
  • Freehand
Cons
  • Very Expensive
