Be careful with the tape measure

This is really good tape, sticks well, looks strong and is labeled very well. However, when installing, you must keep it away from the very edge of the bench. That thing is VERY sharp. So, as I've found, if you run your hand across the front edge of the bench while you're working, or touch it hard, you're going to do some damage. After cutting myself twice on it, I removed it and threw it in the trash. I'll probably buy another one and mount it 1/8" from the edge of my bench. Update: I made…

That's a great tape measure!

I bought an adhesive backed tape measure to use on the cutting table in my sewing shop. The application was very easy and the adhesion is very good. I attached it to the long end of my 4' x 8' table. I needed an 8ft tape measure but had to buy a 12ft tape measure because the 8ft tape measure was out of stock. This was the only downside to my purchase. I basically wasted 4 feet of tape measure. However, this tape works so well and fills my need for a "T!" This makes measuring the quilting…

Not too precise and MADE IN CHINA!

I usually trust this brand of precision gauges. But this time I was disappointed. I used right to left tape and bought another left to right tape to use on the table saw guard rail. GOOD: Easy to read, VERY sticky, durable (both ribbon and ink) and easy to apply. THE BAD: THE WORST thing about this tool is that it is made in China. Also, it's inaccurate. The farther from "0" the greater the error (24" of "zero" error is about 1/8"). I tested this with an accurate tape measure from the inside of

Great conversion assistant.

I really like this product but it could be improved. I use it on my extendable table saw. What I really like is having English and Metric measurements on the same tape. The first 12 inches of tape has each inch divided into 32 inches. Unfortunately, the next 11 feet of tape only have 16 inch divisions. The change I would HIGHLY recommend is to divide every inch into 32 across the entire 12 feet of this band. 32 inches is less than a millimeter and I like to have both scales side by side so I…

I can't find a single mistake.

Even better than I expected. I used masking tape on a table saw guard and couldn't be happier. Cuts with side cutters and holds tight. 3M adhesive adheres very well to smooth painted surfaces. Because it's made of (spring?) steel, it mounts STRAIGHT and level with minimal effort. The first foot is graduated in 1/32, the rest of the band is graduated in 1/16. This proved very handy - the small gauge is great for short cross and rip cuts, while the wider gauges will (almost) always suffice for…
