Description of πŸ’« Enhance Cutting Efficiency with Starrett Versatix Bimetal Intenss Positive

Bimetal blade is designed for cutting low alloy steel; aluminum, stainless steel; carbon steel; tool, die, and mold steel; steel up to C45 Rockwell hardness; nickel-based alloys; and nonferrous metal. Intenss tooth design with positive rake angle for high-production cutting operations. Raker set helps clear chips for reduced clogging.

Powered by a horizontal RF bandsaw

If I could do it that fast I would get a coarser pitch, but this saw does the 3 inch aluminum square bar on my horizontal RF bandsaw well enough pierces a cooling system to prevent clogging of the teeth. Better than any cheap china you see at HF

Pros
  • Tools and household items
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Nice blade but dead

So this blade was bought to ensure the operation of machine parts. Unfortunately, at the recommended speeds, the blade dulled and fed on the coolant alone. It literally broke after 3 hours of use. It had perfect chip evacuation and a nice clean finish after cutting, but it just didn't work. Not impressed with the price for 3 hours.

Pros
  • Band saws
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Broken blades, roll end cuts,

The blades sold to me when I bought 10 didn't last very long, they tended to break when they shouldn't, the teeth weren't worn but they snapped very quickly . One of the blades had a pierced hole through it, I think they sell seconds or reel ends, I saved money buying the blades but they lasted about 1/3 of what they normally do. , a big loss for us and I wouldn't recommend buying them because you just don't know what you're getting,

Pros
  • blades
Cons
  • unreliable
