Just installed and everything ran very easily. Follow the YouTube video to find out how to get through and everything went smoothly. Two small complaints about the kit and installation. The wiring harness I was sent had 2 extra connectors and it was not clear from the installation video that they were not needed. I recently installed this remote starter on my 2014 4Runner. I was hesitant at first as a lot of reviews said this kit needs to be inserted into the lock wire, but the product has been updated and no longer requires this. The starter starts and stops the Toyota 4Runner by touching the interlock wire. The required faucet is NOT included. With an extra cheap T-connection it would be 100% ready to go. If the T-connection is designed to accommodate both the size of the vehicle's wiring harness and the smaller wire going to the relay, the installation becomes much easier and clearer. 2014 4Runner SR5 without button start. If you want to use this you will need to connect to a cable. You will also need to purchase a T-Tap wire stripper. Well I say "required" but you can bypass it if you want to spend time on it. The extra purple wires others have talked about are an adapter not needed. The program looked like your video to me. But nowhere in the video does it say you have to hold down the black button at the beginning. Installation is easy IF you're watching YouTube videos. The hardest part was taking the dashboard apart and finding a good mount so I could access the device when I reinstalled the dashboard. Slight frustration during installation. When trying to program the module after installation, I found that the programming instructions were incorrect. The instructions for the module say 1.
