Works well and the cord is longer.

Got this hub for 2 reasons - 1 - it was 10 Gbps 2 - it had a longer connection cable than the others about 4" The only problem (and it's probably my lack of technical knowledge) is that it only works when plugged into a power source. Yes it's a self powered USB hub but I thought it was powered by a PC and when you plug in devices, who need more power plug it into a power source but it doesn't bother at all I love how compact it is and I use it for streaming and I have one of the cameras plugged

Pros
  • Stable results when tested
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Work has been done to add 4 USB ports from a Thunderbolt 3 connection.

This helped eliminate cable clutter and was able to add additional USB ports for a microphone, RGB mouse pad, webcam, and 512GB USB 3.0 fingerprint, eliminating one of the Thunderbolt 3 ports on my Laptop has been converted into 4 USB ports. ! This is such a great product and I'm so glad I got it. I had to do a lot of research for my specific use as I am buying a Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop to work with my content creation hobby set up for my YouTube channel and regular job and unfortunately…

  • Everything is great!

Doesn't seem compatible with my 10G setup.

HB31C3A1CS 10Gbps Hub Verification. I tried it and the hub wasn't compatible with my setup (including the Startech PEXUSB321C 20Gb/s port card) on Windows 10. At 10G. A little trouble at first. *) Rubbing on the cardboard packaging, although they're firmly in place.*) I haven't had it that long, but I could swear it or its power supply sometimes makes a faint noise under load. (I didn't elaborate further because other unpleasant things caught my attention). Now to my main concerns.*) I first…

Excellent, unfortunately falsely advertised Revain.

later. This hub works as a pure USB hub. The Revain website mentioned (at the time of my order) that it was an Ethernet hub and Thunderbolt: both are misleading and wrong. The only idea similar to Thunderbolt 3 is the shape of the ports. Of course, you can't build on that. After talking to StarTech support (a company is only as good as its support, here five stars!) it was clear that this wouldn't work for me. Since I wanted to use it with Thunderbolt (iMac: Apple 3<>2 adapter), it failed

Pros
  • is clear, I will even add
Cons
  • to the old

WOW! THIS THING REALLY WORKS!

Good old StarTech. I tried several other Type-C hubs but none matched their descriptions. This one is simple and has everything you need for USB 3.1 gen2 drives and devices. It uses all 10GB ports if the connected device (and its connecting cable) supports that speed. It is fully backward compatible. Dual purpose data/power connector works with all configurations. He had no problem with 3 separate devices being connected at the same time and data being transferred between them. I used 2 Type-A…

  • Only positives
Cons
  • There are defects

Ok I've been working hard on this, my two Thunderbolt 3 laptops, both HP ( ZBook G5 , Specter 13t). I have TB docks for both big things standing aside (an old DELL, a very new plugable) but I needed something smaller that I could put right in front of my screen so I could plug in and play almost anything including NVME and high-speed flash drives. This docking station was perfect for that purpose WHEN I CONNECTED IT WITH TB3 CABLES! Various other high quality USB C Gen 2 cables from a variety…

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
