So far there are no problems. Good for external components

A while back I bought a 2-port KVM with a StarTech Mini display. He worked poorly and died a few months later. So I didn't want to buy another one from the same company but this one works well so far. I'm using a Dell USB-C dock and Linux says the monitor is running at 4k 30Hz. My Linux desktop reports 4k 60Hz. There are no display artifacts. The shortcut to switch the computer using the keyboard works. Buyers should be aware that, particularly with KVM between the computer and monitor, theโ€ฆ

Very good 4K video at 60Hz but it didn't work for me.

Bought to switch my 40" 4K monitor between 4 computers, 3 of which support 60Hz. I was very concerned that the Switch wouldn't handle 4K 60Hz, but so far it's done a wonderful job with all those weird old cables, some of which I've had for about 5 years. Revain DP base cables work very well with this. I've used 3, 6, and 10 foot cables so far, don't worry, Revain cables are sleek, thin, and flexible so I'm glad they work well. When you switch computers, the computers will see your monitorโ€ฆ

Useless Junk - Computer Components

Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. Computers appear to boot but there is no display. The idiotic lights on the front of the computer flicker on and off as usual, but POST doesn't appear and the login screen never comes up. Press and hold the power button to turn off the computer and try again. After 3, 4 or 5 reboots the display finally works! But wait. The Power, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock LEDs on the keyboard are off. Both keyboard and mouse are dead. Reboot a few moreโ€ฆ

Was skeptical but works great

I have had a love/hate relationship with KVM switches for many years. When they work it's great, but previous versions often got stuck, out of sync etc. This one works great, at least for 4K 60Hz video (that's all we use it for). And the heavy metal body keeps it from slipping when you press the button on the front. UPDATE: We originally only used it to switch videos, but now I've connected a PC and Mac to it, shared a mouse, and both sent music to an external DAC and headphone amp. That worksโ€ฆ

Great KVM but not for every install

It works fine for me; however only 4 stars because it doesn't work with some settings. My display is a Monoprice 4K IPS monitor. My late 2013 Macbook Pro connected to the monitor's display port with a mini display worked fine. However; My late 2013 Macbook Pro used a mini-display for the KVM display port and then the display port on the monitor was not working (distortions on the screen and frequent power outages). I later upgraded to a 2018 Macbook Pro and plugged in the USB-C cable from theโ€ฆ

Generally works but not reliably

4k/60Hz support is excellent, build quality is also good. any modern mouse or keyboard, which is why you should connect your mouse and keyboard to the USB hub ports to prevent using other USB peripherals. It would be great to have only 4 regular USB ports instead of 2 general and 2 peripheral ports. 2) For the money it could have USB 3.0 but only with USB 2.0 support. This means that some 4K webcams etc. are not supported. 3) Sometimes there is no image when switching from PC to Mac (withโ€ฆ
