MAXIMUM DURABILITY: Built to withstand harsh environments, this rugged media converter has a durable metal housing, and has an operating temperature range of 0ยฐC-50ยฐC (32ยฐF-122ยฐF).

works as needed for networking products

Works as it should. I've used both gigabit and 100Mbps with no issues or performance hits. Inexpensive and easy to install.

If your local area network covers a large area, this might be what you need! Connect it to your network and then extend the fiber optic cable up to 1.9 km to transmit data at 10/100 Mbps over fiber optics. Very easy to set up and customize. Very easy to use. low costs. Exactly what I have come to expect from StarTech products. The small footprint makes it easy to add equipment to your network without the need for a rack. When tested, the speeds are stable and the connection reliable.
