StarTech Com Rackmount Brackets Switch SV431RACK Review

This product has a non-standard hole pattern for attaching brackets. It's not worth fixing the manufacturer's problem. Avoid the product.

Works well. I only used big brackets. One star deducted for the lack of instructions/explanation for the straight piece. Comes with screws but no rack studs so make sure you have a few before picking it up.

Works as expected when connected to a StarTech USB KVM Switch. It has enough detail to fit in any rack. Too bad that KVM is not included.

Ideal for turning a tiny switch into a full rack. Just make sure your mini switch has mounting holes on the sides to use this mount. I'll probably buy more of these when I need them.

Suitable for ConnectPro Master-It USB UR-14 KVM rack mount. I'm glad to finally get the KVM off my desk and put it in a rack. It may be overpriced for what you actually get, but it's exactly what the doctor ordered. ConnectPro rack eyelets for the UR-14 are in short supply, so I'm happy to find an alternative that looks like an OEM replacement.

Finally, installing a KVM switch freed up the necessary closet space. I only realized how hard the cables were pulling on the box's connections when I attached them to the supplied cable retaining rail with Velcro. This kit worked great.
