This cable set is the easiest way to install StarTech KVM. I bought a 4 in 1 KVM and four sets of these cables. The KVM VGA connectors are male and require a female VGA cable. This is not a regular VGA cable. You could buy an adapter but I found it simpler and cleaner - and the price is really good. Either way, the combination of StarTech KVM and StarTech Cable Kit is a winner!

Worked great, had an Avocent KVM connection in my office. Good work. I don't have it anymore, but not because of the lack of quality, just that I no longer need it. It worked fine when I had it and would probably buy it again if I felt the need.

Make sure the connectors match what you need! Not to mention their purpose. I spent money on this product and found that it is not what I need for my KVM switch or NVR. Also, the combined USB and VGA wiring was wrong on one end. It was actually the other way around. Bought 2 of these cables. That's how I found the build was wrong.

I didn't look closely. I needed a "normal" cable. I didn't think much when I ordered it but it's the wrong gender. Make sure you choose the right floor for your needs. REALLY should have been warned about it.

There are no surprises here: it's a cable. he does what he has to. I am connecting two monitors to KVM. One is VGA, the other is DVI. If I could find a product that included a VGA cable and a DVI cable I would buy it, but it would be such a specialized product that there might not be enough demand for it to justify the cost of production. But that would be the only thing that would make this product above average.
