Works flawlessly! for computer accessories and peripherals

I have a Macbook Pro and wanted to connect a huge 49 inch monitor with a single cable while still getting the maximum resolution I needed. If your monitor doesn't have a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 compatible output, this task can be difficult. I have a Caldigit TS3+ that acts as an intermediary between my MBP and my monitor. I realized Thunderbolt cables don't come cheap. And you can't just buy any Thunderbolt cable for this purpose. It should be 4K 60Hz - 40Gbps. You cannot use a cable without this…

Pros
  • USB cable

I have a 2018 Mac Mini with a Dell U2720Q display. I'm using the USB-C cable that came with the display and when I use this cable I have to choose between high resolution - 4K @ 60Hz but USB speed - 2.0 < - Current setting High data transfer speed - USB Speed - 3.1 but 4K@30Hz. I want 4K@60Hz _and_ USB 3.1 to use the 4 USB ports on the display at full USB3 speed. Searching many discussion forums I found that the DisplayPort capabilities should be 1.4 (HBR3) which my Mini has and the…

It works, but the TB3 spec is quite a mess. USE

I bought this to use for my eGPU (a Razer Core X along with my Razer Blade Stealth i7-8550u) just in case I need a much longer TB3 cable and it works for this use case. I don't have the know-how to run performance tests to detect performance losses if you use a much longer cable than the one that comes with the Razer Core X (I say this because it's often asked). But after testing in games, I couldn't see any serious drop in performance. But I will say that using the included shorter cable seems

Works well. A little loose.

If you need a 6 foot 40Gb/s cable then the choices are few and this is one of them. It easily handles 40Gb/s for my Dell XPS 15 7590 and a dual DP dock connected to two 4k displays. The port for the Dell XPS 15 is a little lost. On the Lenovo T580 and T590 machines I've tried it on, it's lost and connectivity becomes an issue. On the other hand, Lenovo got it wrong a few times with TB3. A few examples, the T590 only has 2 lines out of 4 connected, the T580 only seems to have 2 lines connected…
