The starter fits the bike (and works) but when I try to reattach the battery jumper pin/connector it doesn't match the hole in the cover properly.

Perfect fit for my 1999 R1100S. Does what it should. Haven't had any issues on the bike for a few months. I'll have to see how it holds up in terms of durability but at this price point swapping isn't a big deal.

This was a perfect replacement for my previous starter motor. As in another review of my exact same bike, it definitely seems like my old starter motor had/has some kind of dirty contacts somewhere in the solenoid. And I really didn't feel like taking it apart and hoping that for the price I paid I could just clean it myself.

At any price, ready to go and on the bike this seems like a quality starter. Time will tell but at the price they gave it was $10 more than eBay, it arrived the next day and I'm on my way again. The starter is quiet and the included test report states that it powers the motorcycle with just under 22 volts. Without doubt.

Fits my BMW R1200CL like a glove. I had trouble starting the bike, it started slowly, thought I had a battery or electrical problem, read an online forum that said these starters are notorious for getting dirt and grime and it's difficult to start a bike. There are instructions online on how to disassemble and clean them, but for $60 it's not worth your time (especially in riding season). I will clean the old one and put it on the shelf as a spare.
