Saved me $200: Accessories

Breaking Lexus factory keys is a notorious problem and very expensive to change when all that's broken is that stupid little plastic case! This is on both keys of my 2008 RX350 and they work like a charm! Please note that you have to break the metal parts of the old keys that you reuse. It wasn't listed in the instructions so it took me a minute to figure it out. But really I hope this company makes a lot of money off these things because they saved me a lot of money not having to go to the…

What I needed best in interiors

I have a lexus rx400h 06 and the key case is torn. I read other reviews and was concerned that I don't have a T head on the key blade. I took it apart and found I have a T head. That's why I ordered this replacement bowl. It's bigger than the Lexus body and I prefer the Lexus body more. But the main problem is that I need a case that will break. Let's see how it is in a few years. I used all the plastic washers and the T-head still dangles a bit in the case body. I need to take it apart and add

Key projectile tank!

It's fantastic. They are a bit bulky but durable which I am very happy to sacrifice a little weight for security compared to the OEM key fob. Installation was easy, but I modified mine a bit to still use the default key. I used a very small flathead screwdriver to punch a hole in the key and shape it to mark and guide the hole. I then used my drill with the correct size bit and then countersunk the screw with a larger bit to bevel the top of the hole. After some alignment work, the screw…

How To Upgrade Turnkey Wingless Wings

This doesn't fit the RX-330 if you can't modify it. If you check your wrench and don't have little wings next to the screw hole on the closed end, you'll need to change that to make it work. But the good news is that it works better than any other replacement available! Step one, drill a hole in the end of the larger key. Find a short thin screw that fits snugly in the hole, drill a hole through the end of the wrench in one side of the plastic case. Then file the other side to leave the screw…

Great design, installation issues, probably user error

LX470 key, works like a charm. Don't believe all the one star reviews. Many of them appear to be user error and are posted by people who don't know how to work with basic hand tools. Take your time, pay attention to how your factory key disassembles and how it should fit into the new Stauber shell and you'll be fine. It's an easy replacement, but if you don't have mechanical skills you might have trouble. I had to pretty much destroy my already broken plastic sink to get the key. If your Srock…

Ideal for accessories

If you have a Lexus that is more than ten years old, you will need it at some point. You must keep the original key and computer chip, so if your key breaks, DO NOT throw it away. Unscrew the broken holder and remove the metal key and chip from the holder. PLACE THE CHIP IN A SAFE PLACE BEFORE THE NEXT STEP. The metal T-key will most likely have melted plastic on top where it looks like a "T". Plastic is hammered. SOFT. A couple of decent presses will rip the extra plastic off the metal. Make…

PLEASE READ UPDATE

PREVIOUS: I have a 99 and the square edge did not allow for the slight "push" needed to remove the key. Someone already said this in a review, but I've been too busy to listen. Good concept, but blocks with a key to cut will work better. I ordered one and will take a look. UPDATE: Just got a call from the owner of the company who apologized and is redesigning the key case for the RX300. He's sending me a prototype this week. I appreciate that this company listened, researched, and tried to fix…
