Stay Safe With The Troxel Sierra Horseback Riding Helmet! Review

It fits and it works. I’m not a big helmet fan, but it is required where I’m riding and I’m completely unaware that I have a helmet on. The fit is always worrisome, but this has some internal adjustment to make it just right.

My helmet arrived right away. It fits well and looks great. It is so comfortable I forget to take it off! That's my feedback!

Very comfortable fit and I am on the edge of needing a larger helmet but they do not make an X-Large in this model. The new design is a big improvement over the older interior which a friend of mine has. highly recommend for the price and the Sure-Fit system is a big improvement over the dial a fit of cheaper helmets as the Sure-Fit system doesn't make your sunglasses or prescription glasses ride on your nose. This helmet sits nice and wicks away sweat well.

This is third Troxel helmet I've owned. I only replace one after about 6-7 years for safety, knowing the impact resistant material slowly degrades over time. Fit is very good, and comfortable for multi-hour long trail rides. I prefer the looks of the Sierra model like this one, but the less expensive models are fine too, just not as stylish :)

Nice fit on my round large head and can adjust for oval shaped heads too. Glad I took a chance and ordered it. The magnetic clasping mechanism is nice too.

why keep buying these you ask? cause I am prone to falling off my horse of course and they protect my brain bucket well they are light weight and look decent some helmets are ugly I like this one as a trail rider its western and rugged looking. as I said above its my third when I fall too many times I buy a new one - I will continue to ride wild horses and buy these helmets Love them

Super comfy, great fit. Love the look of the leather! Much better than any of the bright colored plastic ones I’ve suffered through. 😅

Loved the look of the helmet, it’s a very nice design. Ordered for mountain trail riding. Light weight and great color. Unfortunately it didn’t fit my head and I had to return. Too tight from front to back. Credit took a while but eventually I received.

I like this helmet. Well padded, good looking, good quality. Helmets usually make me look like a bubble head but this is low profile so it looks good. Not well ventilated. I would not wear in the summer if riding during the day.

I got this for my birthday, I have been riding since six years old and have been using the same helmet since. Finally got an upgrade with this amazing helmet. It came in two days and has amazing padding in it. 100% recommend to anyone riding. Showed it to my trainer and she said that it was really nice and comfortable and she needs a new helmet 😂

Buyer beware. this is a standard base level Troxel helmet with brown fabric added to the top and the price doubled. There's nothing 'low profile' about it and no increased ventilation. As others have said, it is misrepresented as having a magnetic click latch, but it's a basic plastic click latch.I am replacing the exact same helmet without the pseudo leather look because it is a medium and a bit too tight (a prior gift from my wife). Size runs a little large but the strap is adjustable. Overall, a spankin good deal since our local shop was at least $30 more. Leather is smooth and build is solid.

Didn't know I had a large head until I found measuring charts on line. But apparently I do. Fits comfortably. Bought a second one for when people ride with me.

Got the helmet today. I ordered a medium as my head is 22" exactly and usually wear 7 1/8 hat size. I had to size everything as small as it could go. It is not at all low profile, at least for someone with a narrow face which I was disappointed with but it is light weight. For $99 it's about on point for what you would expect to get. It's a helmet. It fits. And it'll get the job done as a trail helmet.

Great design, good quality, but it definitely runs small as the large is too snug and would give me a headache after a couple of minutes. I wear a size 7 3/8 hat normally and have never had a riding helmet not fit me as long as it was a large, sometimes even a medium would fit, but I think with this particular design it just runs small. The helmet did NOT have the new self-locking buckle as advertised, it has the old style buckle. I was disappointed that it did not have the new self-locking buckle. Otherwise the helmet arrived in perfect/new condition and as advertised. This is my 2nd Troxel Sierra helmet and this model is much lighter than my older model Sierra. It fits as expected, follow the sizing chart on Troxel's website for this helmet.

I Like the helmet very much, but it did not come an original Troxel box so I am questioning whether it is new or not. That's my feedback.
