This is a cool project for keeping a child busy. The age range says 3+ but I think this was a tad difficult to put together for anyone under 7ish. The wood pieces had to be removed by pushing them out of their wooden sheet. I had to be very careful to not accidentally snap them since they were a bit thin. I’d recommend reinforcing the house with glue/adhesive. Overall, I think this is a cute, giftable item, but the child will likely need a lot of help with the build.

This was a fun project! The feeder fit together tightly, but I don't imagine the paint is rainproof. It acts like its water-based, which means the rain will wash it away. My daughter had lots of fun putting this together. She did need some help getting out a few pieces and snapping a few pieces into place. I broke a nail pushing a piece into place. Once I got out a thumb scraper this helped big time getting the remaining pieces out and also helped push the wood pieces into the slots.There was a nice selection of paints and stickers. My neice loves arts and crafts plus animals. So, this seemed like the perfect gift. It comes with everything shown and allows your childs creative side to come out. It was cute to see her paint and then the excitement to hang it up and await for the birds to use it. Very easy to put together and hang as well! I recommend.

Left these at the cabin I was not able to snap an after pic. Fun little craft kit. I hand to give my 6 and 8 year old a hand to build the birdhouse, but they were able to paint by themselves, the 2 paint brushes were helpful so they were able to paint at the same time. I doubt these will make it long term, but the point for me is to keep them occupied. Nice little kit.

My grandchild enjoys making things. This little birdhouse will be a great project for her. The wood is sturdy. It comes with an extra metal feeder. She can paint it and add a little bling with shiny heart and dots. The instructions are fairly easy.
