Exactly like factory quality

Just what you need to replace a very rusty spark plug tip on a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower engine. Just like the original. Great fit. I recommend lubricating the contact with dielectric grease to keep it from rusting. Do the same with the tip of the plug. Half an hour later everything was ready and running. Note that the connector end I received was steel, not brass. I am very satisfied with the goods and the timely arrival.

Exact replacement, however.

Be careful when installing the download from a new terminal. Inside the cover there is a production-related "membrane" that completely prevents the terminal from slipping in. I almost ruined the new terminal trying to fit it in before realizing there was extra rubber inside. Pull it out with needle nose pliers, making sure you pull it out all the way. Other than that, it's just what my Briggs and Stratton mower motor needs. The previous Spark terminal lasted 15 years.

  • Satisfied so far

  • Good overall, but...

Broken spark plug boot

I bought this to replace a rusty spark plug boot on my Toro lawnmower. After attaching a metal connector to the cable, I tried adjusting the shoe for 15 minutes and heating it in water to soften it. After the fight I noticed that the right corner was blocked by rubber and there was no way I could miss it. I cut it open and took photos to show. I would return it but I have already used a spark plug adapter and just used my old boot. Please make sure there is actually a hole for the metal bracket

The connection is not made of brass, but can still be soldered.

The usual method of completing these connections is to strip and apply approximately 0.5 inch of insulation from the ignition wire and then crimp the terminal over the wire/insulation. It's fast and convenient. messy and results in an unreliable connector that will fail over time. I was actually going to solder a wire to the connector and the product photos clearly showed that they were made of brass. I was very disappointed when I received them, which actually they are not, brass but they were

I can't believe it was like that.

I bought this to replace my 30 year old small edger. I tried to start it again after it took about 10 puffs to start. I reinstalled the magneto. I cleaned the carburetor. I changed the diaphragm. I replaced the spark plug. I cleaned the intake pipe. I put in fresh non-ethanol gas. I cleaned and cleaned the old connector. I've tried everything and it just didn't start out easier. I ordered this new connector and thought it might be worth a try. My edger starts up like it's new on the first pull…

The connection is not made of brass, but can still be soldered.

The usual way to terminate these connections is to strip about 0.5" of insulation from the ignition wire and attach it, then crimp the terminal over the wire/insulation. It's fast, messy, and results in an unreliable connection that fails over time. I actually intended to solder the wire to the terminal and the product photos strongly suggested they were made of brass. I was very disappointed when I they received and they weren't actually brass but they were still solderable which is why I'm…

Quality replacement part for small engines

Quality replacement sleeve and connection for small engines. Please note that what you will receive will not be 100% the same as the photo. The terminal I received was not copper plated as pictured, but silver colored, most likely zinc plated. It has a solid locking ring and no stamped metal like the other reviewer. This is a more than reasonable part given the price and should give years of reliable service for my application (garage generator). Installation is not difficult if you have pliers
