I can't believe it was like that.

I bought this to replace my 30 year old small edger. I tried to start it again after it took about 10 puffs to start. I reinstalled the magneto. I cleaned the carburetor. I changed the diaphragm. I replaced the spark plug. I cleaned the intake pipe. I put in fresh non-ethanol gas. I cleaned and cleaned the old connector. I've tried everything and it just didn't start out easier. I ordered this new connector and thought it might be worth a try. My edger starts up like it's new on the first pull every time. Great sauce!
