Good Motor # - Brackets & Accessories

This is a very good stepper motor - smooth with plenty of torque. A bit annoying, however, is the fact that the colors of the cables from the motor do not match the documentation in the box. It's not a big deal since you can use an ohmmeter to determine which wires go to which coils, but I would still expect the documentation provided by the manufacturer/vendor to be consistent with what they supply.

Schematic was wrong

Used these stepper motors for speed control so I used them in combination with some cheap drivers and a manual pulse generator. After several hours trying to get it to work (on a customer site) I gave up and ordered another pulse generator. Then there was the same problem, the motors didn't move. I decided to check the motor windings with a multimeter and it turned out that the wiring diagram card that came with the motors was incorrectly marked. After identifying the coils, I got it working…

Very powerful electric motor tool

OMG, this is the most powerful stepper motor I have ever had. I applied 2.0A to the coil just under 2V and snapped the vise onto the shaft and it is extremely difficult to force the skip/stop in full sequence mode. Tries to twist my wrist. Ignore the supplied spec card, it's wrong. Use your meter to determine the cable configuration. I'm using a 24V buck converter with a 5A buck converter and via an L298 double H bridge. The L298 can't handle current for long without blowing out, so I have a…
