This is a cheap wall mount and you get what you pay for. This is not a hardwood, the cuts will not be exact, the wood will have many imperfections and the finish will be the same. BUT it does exactly what you want and for the price you pay. If you just want a cheap, decent cue stand, then it's worth buying.

It would be a very good product if it hadn't deteriorated. I understand that things are getting mixed up. But in this case the item was cracked and you could see that someone had applied a patch of paint over the original surface to cover up the damage. They haven't done a really good job. Another thing, I don't understand why, if they did their best to deceive us, the customers, why they used the original tape sealed packaging. Note to potential buyers: The stand currently sold/shipped is NOT the stand shown in the photos. There is no felt on either the top or bottom, and the cavities in the bottom are a completely different design. The post I received recently had hemispheres on the bottom post rather than the short cylinders shown in the photo. This may work for some, but not for me.
