Saved my battery in Sensors

They worked great as Stinger products usually do. Shows how well my alternator is charging and when it's time to check my charging system. Or just turn down the volume on my upgraded stereo. Shows when I'm using my stereo too much and need to charge the battery.

Pros
  • Lasting Test Results
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Best Price Voltmeter

Yes you can buy a SMD meter for over $100 and yes they are great meters but for $20 I have never had a problem with Stinger meters . I've used them in several cars over the years, only one of these worked for me, and that was after about a year or so, so again, for $20 I'll take it.

So good, so bright best in gauges

I mean it's not that simple. I connected it to a remote wire which is on the front but routed the plus/minus wires to the back to get an accurate voltage reading of my junction box. I first used a Fluke flow meter to fine tune the gauge. So far, so good. JUST A COMPLAINT? BRIGHTNESS BRIGHTNESS at night. Set it as low as possible

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works pretty well for a cheap voltmeter

I've had it for about 1.5 years and it's been used in 2 different cars. Works pretty well for a cheap voltmeter, I tested it with my DMM and it showed an error of 0.05 after adjusting both at idle and with the car off, so while it's not perfect, it's pretty close. Is it as accurate as a SMD voltmeter? No, but on an extreme budget it will work decently and at least give you an idea of what your charging system is doing. There is a slight lag as this counter is not fast enough to keep up with anโ€ฆ

Just what I needed Spare parts

The only difficult thing was figuring out where to install it. I wanted this place to look like part of the interior. I still haven't figured out exactly where, so it's temporarily double-sided taped to my dash. The connection was very easy and took 5 minutes. 3 wires, ground, constant and trigger. Calibrated right out of the box. I measured the voltage at various points with a multimeter. One on the battery, on the amp, and near my main unit. All were 14.4. The only downside I can think of isโ€ฆ

  • Spare parts

Probably one of the best values โ€‹โ€‹in voltmeters

Anyone looking at this voltmeter probably already knows its specifications or has been recommended it. It really can't be beat for the price. It is adjustable, precise and reacts immediately to changes. I've seen people complain about it being too bright but that has never been a problem for me out of the 2 or 3 I've used. As with most products, there are better ones out there, but it will usually cost you money. As far as a good product that works properly and lets you keep track of yourโ€ฆ

Good at first, read through

I was initially skeptical based on the reviews I have read from others who have purchased this product. I really wanted a voltmeter and thought it was the best, although some said it wasn't good. So I ordered anyway. Received it and was happy with the installation. I installed it at the same time as my audio system. It was beautiful and pleasing aesthetically and was easy to assemble and install. Then everything worked. See, it reads well. In four days. Path. It wasn't reading. Only the Stinger
