I returned this item because the instructions were not very clear. The worst thing was that the controls and steam settings were next to the hottest part of the machine! So beware of scarcity and burns - a complete design flaw.

This straightener gets very smoky. I had to stop several times to get some fresh air. I'm not sure if I can use them again. Money wasted, but my lungs are more important.

My daughter's hair is difficult to straighten even with high temperature ceramic straighteners but surprisingly the steam doesn't curl her hair it straightens it.

I like the packaging it came in. I love that it includes a glove and water bottle. This steamer is of good quality and well made. However, the water tank leaks a bit when you pour water. It's a little messy when the steam comes out. I recommend it for natural, very thick and coarse hair for use by women of color. My hair is very thick and I am shocked at how it straightens in one go.

This is by far the best flat iron for my curly wavy coarse hair. Steam is great for long-term results. Other flat irons straightened my hair and after an hour the waves returned. It keeps my hair straight. It also makes it soft.

Works well and heats up quickly. Used three times so far and no complaints. Personally, I find it difficult to use a glove (to comb and part my hair), although it helps when touching the iron.
