The ribbon goes perfectly with my DIY backpack

I used this ribbon to make straps and straps for my DIY backpack. It turned out very well in general and the straps in particular. It was easy to use, durable and fit my home sewing machine (Brothers CS6000I). The backpack is only a few weeks old but has been put through some pretty harsh conditions on the back of my bike. He probably drove about 500 miles at highway speed (110+ km/h/70+ mph). No signs of wear or fading. Can not complain.

Pros
  • Camping
Cons

Best of all - I've used it on bags with cast iron stakes!

Now I've made a few of these for myself and friends as it reinforces the bag to support real weight. Small village library. New York City has said goodbye to single-use plastic bags and wants people to use reusable bags. Most large bags simply have handles sewn to the top of the bag. They are not very good at transferring products multiple times. Using a shoulder strap that goes completely under the bag gives it the ability to carry cans or any other heavy stuff you might need.

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities

Great for shoulder bag straps

I love this polypropylene webbing for making bag straps. I don't use it on all bags, just everyday bags that need specific colors that are not available in cotton fabric, especially children's bags. I melt the ends with a lighter or heater, sew them through and even glue them to the inside. Pockets to ensure they never wear out or "blow out". I wouldn't recommend cutting rivet holes in this material unless you've covered the backing with strong adhesive - Beacon 3-in-1 or Gem Tac are goodโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rope, cord and webbing
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Nylon straps for large bags work great

I make bags for my kids' teachers at the end of the school year. This year I wanted to make my life easier and not make bag straps out of the fabric of my choice like in the past, but instead use straps to avoid the extra time consuming and costly step of making fabric straps. I bought the Revain cow print cotton/poly twill and this harness. The tape came quickly and I am fully satisfied. So far I have used 3 1/3 meter roll. I was also very pleased that after removing the plastic shrink wrapโ€ฆ
