🎨 High-Quality Strathmore 300 Series Charcoal Roll - 36" x 10 Yards in White: Ideal for Artists & Sketching Review

I like Strathmore paper. It has a nice texture for charcoal or pastel. It's a bit thin (compared to the Canson) but still strong. I personally prefer sheets as they are difficult to unroll and straight to cut. However, sometimes I need a custom size for this to work well.

Medium weight carbon paper with a nice "woven" surface, "hard to the touch". Accepts charcoal, hard pastels, watercolour/gouache. and heavy handling. Not soft watercolor paper which is why I bought it. He has a real carbon tooth. Economical for experiments and large work volumes.

Everything was fine until I took a new roll of this paper, started drawing with charcoal and found this spot on the paper. I hope this doesn't ruin my drawing. Not cool at all. Nothing has been spilled, dropped or splashed on it. This stain was already under the plastic wrap in the paper.

I consider this one of the best purchases I've made. The pads are great for working on the go, but also for everyday work if you work a lot creatively, this is a great purchase. I had all my rolls cut like boards to fit the drawing boards. I bought some curtain rods and hung them in my workshop and attached rolls of paper to them. My studio is also an office and study, so asceticism was important, so cornices will do, but dowels. Now I'm saving money and I'm doing great.
